Khao Cheechan located in Sattaheep District is a 130 m high mountain with a golden Buddha image. This is a noticeable attraction that can be spotted from miles away. The Buddha image called Phra Phuttha Maha Wachira Uttamopat Satsada was created in the year 1996 when King Bhumibol Adulyadej's was enthroned. The 130 m high and 70 m wide Buddha image is from the Sukhothai era and one of the biggest Buddha images in the world. The image was created by laser technology.
